Seacork Sprayed Cork - High-performance insulation,

Designed for the most demanding applications in the professional marine sector, this technical water-based coating can be applied by pneumatic spraying to all surfaces, whatever their geometry: complex hulls, curved partitions, sharp angles, areas inaccessible to rigid solutions. No thermal bridges, no blind spots, no compromises.

A technical formula with 60% of cork, made in France

Made from 60% natural French cork from recycled sources, this solvent-free, water-based product offers outstanding thermal and acoustic insulation performance in a healthy material that respects crews and the environment. Each sprayed layer is approximately 1-1.2 mm thick, for a uniform, continuous finish over the entire surface.

Technical performance for shipyards

  • Thermal resistance from -40°C to +200°C: suitable for extreme environments, from Arctic sailing to high-temperature engine spaces
  • Total elimination of thermal bridges: no more condensation, no more mould, no more damp-related corrosion
  • Effective sound insulation: significant reduction in hull noise, engine vibration and noise pollution when sailing
  • Adhesion to all substrates: fibreglass, steel, aluminium, wood, concrete

A controlled installation process, a predictable result

Step Detail
Application 2 to 3 coats by pneumatic spraying
Drying between coats 1 to 2 hours at 20°C
Complete drying 2 to 3 days
Average yield 2 kg per m² depending on thickness

50 shades for a stylish finish

Seacork sprayed cork is not just an insulator: it's also a finish. Available in 50 shades thanks to Seacork pigments, it can be used to treat the inside of the hull or the lining with a professional aesthetic result, without any additional coating. The pigments are available separately in our shop.

The Seacork spray gun

To guarantee optimum application and professional performance, Seacork offers its dedicated pneumatic gun, designed specifically for spraying water-based cork. Available separately in our shop.

FAQ

How many coats should I apply? Two to three coats are recommended for optimum insulation, for a total thickness of 2 to 4 mm. Each coat should dry for 1 to 2 hours at 20°C before applying the next.

Is the product compatible with engine spaces? Yes, its thermal resistance up to +200°C makes it perfectly suited to engine compartment partitions and ceilings.

Do I need specific equipment for the application? Yes, application with a pneumatic gun is essential to guarantee even spraying and controlled yield. The Seacork spray gun is available in our shop.

Can sprayed cork replace traditional lining? Yes, it's a modern, more efficient alternative to traditional cladding: no mechanical fixing, no gaps between the panels, no condensation trapped behind the cladding.

Can the product be tinted? Yes, 50 shades are available thanks to Seacork pigments, allowing complete aesthetic integration into the boat's interior design(> colour chart)
