Seacork Pneumatic Spray Gun — The Reference Tool for Cork Projection
The quality of a sprayed cork application depends as much on the tool as on the product itself. The Seacork pneumatic spray gun has been specifically selected for the projection of water-based cork, ensuring a homogeneous, continuous and controlled application on all surfaces, regardless of their geometry or accessibility.
Supplied with a 6 mm Nozzle
The 6 mm nozzle supplied with the spray gun is the reference diameter for Seacork cork projection. It guarantees optimal flow rate, homogeneous granulometry and precise coverage, including in angles and confined areas.
A Special Angle Adaptor for Projection in Any Direction
Included with the spray gun, the Seacork angle adaptor is the accessory that makes all the difference on site. It allows projection to be directed into areas inaccessible in a straight line: hull bottoms, bulkhead corners, confined spaces beneath skirting or behind frames. Combined with the 6 mm nozzle, it ensures complete and homogeneous coverage across the entire surface to be treated, with no blind spots and no manual touch-up required.
Compressor Requirements : A Critical Point
Continuous cork projection requires a stable and sufficient compressed air supply. Insufficient pressure immediately results in irregular projection and an uneven finish.
| Parameter | Required Value |
|---|---|
| Gun air consumption | 220 L/min |
| Minimum working pressure | 4 bar |
| Recommended compressor pressure | 8 bar |
| Minimum tank capacity | 50 L at 8 bar |
Why Do These Values Matter?
The spray gun consumes 220 L/min of compressed air. To permanently maintain working pressure above 4 bar — the minimum threshold for continuous and homogeneous projection — the compressor must be capable of delivering 8 bar with a tank of at least 50 litres. Below these values, pressure drops during projection and the result becomes uneven.
FAQ
Can any standard compressor be used? No. A small DIY compressor is entirely insufficient. A professional compressor delivering 8 bar with a minimum 50-litre tank is essential to maintain stable working pressure above 4 bar continuously.
Is the 6 mm nozzle the only compatible option? It is the diameter recommended and supplied by Seacork for optimal cork projection. Using a different nozzle may affect granulometry and the homogeneity of the result.
Is the gun compatible with both versions of sprayed cork — natural and white? Yes, it is designed for use with both Seacork formulations interchangeably.
Must the gun be cleaned between uses? Yes, immediate rinsing with clean water after each use is essential, as the product is water-based. A poorly cleaned gun may become blocked and unusable.
